The much-awaited nationwide full Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is set to be true within the next six months that is  'One Nation, One Mobile Number'.

It means, subscribers will be able to change their service providers but retain their numbers even if they relocate to another telecom circle.

Currently, subscribers can retain their numbers only within a particular telecom circle in what is called limited MNP. For example, a subscriber in Telangana can subscribe to another Telecom operator only within Telangana this is limited MNP. As per latest Trai data.

“After an examination of various issues, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India​ (TRAI) released the recommendations on full MNP,” the regulator said in a statement, on Wednesday. Telecom service providers will  implement full Mobile Number Portability​ (MNP) within six months.

After Full MNP a subscriber in Telangana can subscribe  another telecom operator over all the India.
