The seventh flight of Haj Pilgrims from Telangana consisting of 350 pilgrims flew off from Haj Terminal of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamsabad.

With this so far 2400 pilgrims have left for Jeddah, said Prof. S A Shukoor Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee in a press release, here on Friday. He said that the seventh batch consisted of 245 pilgrims from Hyderabad, 84 from Ranga Reddy and 23 from Warangal.

A lady Haj pilgrim from Hyderabad Abida Begum, w/o late Abdul Gafoor Cover No. APR 5654-3-0 died. Shukoor Special Officer and Janab Abdul Hameed Executive Officer expressed their condolences on her demise and said that her son Abdul Qadeer, a Rtd. Govt. Employee and Kishwar Jehan Ishrat Head Mistress GBPS, Kanidkal Gate, Bhavannagar, would be sent for Haj by a subsequent flight. As many as five seats in the yestarday's flight were cancelled due to death of one pilgrims and offloading of one pilgrim’s due to ill health. Under the supervision of Prof. S. A. Shukoor arrangements for replacing five other pilgrims were successfully made within a record time of two and a half hours. He thanked the authorities of GMR, CISF, Customs, Immigration and Saudi Arabian Airlines for all necessary clearances at the Main Terminal of the Airport.
